Anderson County Fair

Booth at the Anderson County Fair
July 17 - 22, 2023

Monday Evening: Give aways:  Hacksaw Ridge, IIW Study Guide: Can God be Trusted;

Registration for Drawing for 5 sets of a  3 volume children's books to be given away at the end of the fair.

Tuesday Evening:  We made friends with many of our surrounding "neighbors".

Hacksaw Ridge, the story of Desmond Doss is a GREAT icebreaker! In an adjoining booth a bearded "Harley Rider" grew up with strong roots and many memories of mowing the lawn at our present church location.  His father helped build the building.  This was back in the 50's when it was home for the Nazarene folks.  He asked for, and eagerly accepted a copy of Hacksaw Ridge!

Another 19-year-old young man, soliciting our signatures approached us with a petition to remove books that promote children's books that promoted graphic sexual orientation in our local public libraries.  He was attracted to our Daniel 2 image and illustration.  He was intrigued by the IIW first study and Hacksaw Ridge and left saying, "I will definitely read these."  He added your booth should be nominated as one of the best!

Wednesday 11:00a -3:00p

" A picture is worth a thousand words" one person was drawn by a Nathan Green postcard.  It reminded him of childhood memories.

Another lady was drawn by her Adventist roots.  A wonderful connection was established.
